Skyline Land Service

About Skyline Land Service

From the middle of Purcellville the Blue Ridge stands up as one long blue line, and in winter you can watch a squall walk down it well before it reaches town. Skyline Land Service works snow across that whole shelf of country — plowing driveways, lanes and lots from Round Hill out toward Bluemont, opening walks, tidying up once the sky finally quits. Elevation changes everything here: the same storm can leave an inch on Main Street and six on the higher roads. The measure of a good night is a drive that looks as though nothing ever happened to it. That is the trick, and it has to be done again with every storm.
