About Crone's Lawn Service

Summer settles heavy on Prince George, humid and green, and the grass answers by growing an inch every few days. Crone's Lawn Service keeps up with it — mowing, edging along walks and beds, trimming the fence lines a mower can never quite reach, hauling off the season's clippings and leaves. Then the year turns, the flat country between the James and the pinewoods goes brown and brittle, and the same trucks come back with plow and salt for the nights a storm makes it this far south. Working a place through both ends of the calendar teaches you its yards by heart: which slope holds water in July, which north-facing drive keeps ice into the afternoon. All of that shows up in the finished trim line and in the cleared apron at the end of a driveway.
