Z's Lawn Care

About Z's Lawn Care

There is a particular November afternoon in Poquoson when the light goes gold, the marsh turns bronze, and the grass takes its last cut of the year. Z's Lawn Care works up to that day and back around to the first green one — mowing, trimming, edging, and clearing the leaves and clippings that pile along the fences. Mild winters stretch the season at both ends here, and a lawn tended all the way through starts the spring already ahead. It is satisfying out of proportion to the labor: even rows, a crisp line where turf meets concrete, walks blown clean. Small, regular, and plain to see from the street.
