About Cook Lawn & Landscape

Pocahontas is a coal town through and through, founded in the 1880s atop the famous Pocahontas seam, its streets climbing steep Tazewell County hillsides hard against the West Virginia line. The town's exhibition mine keeps that story close, a reminder of how much people here have given for every inch. Cook Lawn & Landscape brings care to yards along those hillside streets, mowing and trimming lawns that slope, terrace and tuck in beside steps and retaining walls. October is glorious here, the ridges lit orange and crimson above the rooftops, and a freshly cut lawn sits beneath them like a square of bright green order. It is small-town pride made visible, in a community that has never shied from labor.
