About Old Dominion Lawn Care Service, LLC

Up around Centre Hill the brick has gone soft-cornered with age and the boxwood has been there longer than anyone's memory of it. Old Dominion Lawn Care Service, LLC keeps the green around all of it — mowing, edging and trimming yards through Petersburg, holding the grass to a clean even plane and the borders tight against brick and walk. Old lawns like these have their own contours, roots surfacing, shade shifting through the day, and reading them takes a slow pass rather than a fast one. In late October the leaves come down thick under the magnolias and the oaks, and clearing them is a season's work in itself. The result is a place that looks kept, which is the only compliment a yard really needs.
