About Sutton Landscaping LLC

Penn Laird lies in the Shenandoah Valley with Massanutten's long wall standing to the east, and on a June morning the limestone fields hold a mist that burns off about the time the mowers start. Sutton Landscaping LLC works the yards along Route 33 — mowing, trimming, edging until the border between turf and gravel is a single clean line. Valley soil grows a heavy, honest grass, and keeping it even takes a week-by-week rhythm rather than one heroic afternoon. Cleanups open the spring and close the fall, when the mountain turns and the hardwoods let everything down at once. Between Harrisonburg and the mountain, this is fine country to keep tidy.
