About Jefferson and Watters LLC

Chesterfield Heights rides a low bluff above the Eastern Branch, and its lawns tilt toward the water in long, old-fashioned slopes. Jefferson and Watters LLC mows that grade the way a grade must be mowed — across the hill, one height throughout, no scalped high spots — then trims the retaining walls and the stair edges and cuts a straight line at the sidewalk. Spring arrives early and generous on this side of Norfolk; by March the grass is already asking for attention. Making a sloped yard look level is a quiet trick, and it shows plainly from the street below. That part is worth being proud of.
