About J&A Lawn Service

Berkley sits across the Elizabeth River from downtown, near enough to watch the ferry cross and far enough to keep a pace of its own. J&A Lawn Service cuts those yards — the small squares behind the older houses, the corner lots, the strips along the alley — mowing, trimming and edging until a property has one continuous outline. Grass here comes in thick through the humid stretch between May and September, and it turns stubborn in the corners. Hand work solves the corners; the schedule solves everything else. A block where the yards are kept looks different from a block where they aren't, and that difference is worth the trip over the bridge.
