About Earthscapes Lawn and Land Service, Inc.

Every April the azaleas go off near the Botanical Garden and the whole northern edge of Norfolk turns loud with color for about three weeks. Earthscapes Lawn and Land Service, Inc. spends that season on the unglamorous half of the picture — mowing on a tightening schedule, trimming around beds and tree rings, clearing winter litter off the turf so the green fills in evenly. Ground here is flat and sandy, draining fast in some spots and not at all in others, so the mowing has to read the yard rather than the calendar alone. A lawn cut at the right height in spring carries that color deep into the hot months. It's a plain trade: patience now, a better yard in July.
