About John C Wood Construction

Before dawn on a snow day, Mineral is all streetlights, drifting flakes and the faint outline of the railroad tracks running through town. John C Wood Construction takes on snow removal here, clearing drives and footpaths so people can get out once the storm has passed. Out in rural Louisa County, long gravel drives and farm lanes can vanish entirely under a night's snowfall. A construction outfit's practical, roll-up-your-sleeves approach suits the job: push it wide, clear it down to the ground, leave it passable. As the sky turns pale gray, a freshly opened drive shows as a straight dark line drawn through the white — the kind of progress you can see from the kitchen window.
