About Conner Tree Service, Inc.

Up along Robious, where Midlothian runs out toward the bluffs above the James, the yards go deep and the hardwoods are serious — big white oaks, tulip poplars a hundred feet up, holding their ground between houses. Conner Tree Service, Inc. works among them with a light hand: pruning to keep old trees sound, trimming limbs back off roofs and driveways, removing the ones that have gotten past saving. Ice is the honest danger out here, and when it comes we are working with saw and rope, opening driveways one at a time. A big tree cut back correctly looks as though nothing was done to it at all, which is the whole art. Chesterfield yards, from the river road to the county line.
