About Skyline Tree Service

Martinsville sits in the first fold of the Blue Ridge, the Smith River running cold below town and the old mill streets shaded by trees that were saplings when the looms were loud. Skyline Tree Service works those yards and hollows: taking out an oak leaning toward a roofline, pruning a crown that has grown heavy on one side, trimming back the poplar and sweetgum that hang over a driveway. Storms slide up the foothills fast, and the calls come at first light — a tree across the carport, a limb down on the wrong side of the yard. We do the cutting, we do the hauling, and nobody is left staring at a pile afterward. A yard opened back up to the light is the point of the whole trade.
