Hairston Lawn Care

About Hairston Lawn Care

On a June evening in Martinsville the light goes long and gold, and every mowed stripe on a lawn shows twice as clearly. Hairston Lawn Care chases that look — mowing, trimming around trees and fences, edging the walk, clearing clippings off the porch steps — on yards through the city and the county. Grass in this part of Virginia grows hard from April into June, then wants a taller cut once July arrives, and the schedule follows it rather than the calendar. There is judgment in that, and pride in the result: a yard that looks finished, not merely shortened. Then the mower cools on the trailer and the evening belongs to somebody's porch.
