About greengrowingva

On a May morning the fog settles into the low ground west of Manassas and burns off in pieces, and the grass it leaves behind is soaked, deep green and growing faster than anyone can keep up with. greengrowingva starts the season in that rush, mowing and trimming on a tight rotation while the Piedmont is doing its most enthusiastic work of the year. Cutting wet spring grass well takes a certain stubbornness — the right pace, the right height, and time spent afterward clearing the walks and drives properly. The payoff is a striped, even lawn that looks like somebody meant it. That standard travels with the trucks through Manassas and the towns nearby.
