About Barrett Trucking Inc.

Winter nights in Old Town Manassas belong to the trains, commuter and freight cars rolling past the historic depot, and to the skaters circling the seasonal rink at Harris Pavilion. Barrett Trucking Inc., a trucking company, clears snow in Manassas when storms sweep across Northern Virginia. A snowfall here can turn from powder to slush to ice in a single night, and by dawn the city needs its drives open before the first commuter trains pull out. There is deep satisfaction in pavement scraped bare while the streets are still dark, the banks set well back and the way ahead clear. When the platform fills, nobody gives a thought to the road that got them there, and that is exactly the point.
