About Lopez Lawnmasters

Late August in Lynchburg, the light comes sideways through the sycamores along Blackwater Creek and every lawn on the block goes gold for about twenty minutes. That is the hour Lopez Lawnmasters likes best: mower shut off, clippings blown clear of the walk, the edge along the drive standing up crisp enough to run a thumb down. Come winter the same trucks are out before the streetlights quit, plowing driveways and shoveling steps while the Hill City is still deciding whether it snowed. Salt goes down where the shade holds ice all day long. It is mowing in the warm months and snow clearing in the cold ones, and the pride is identical in either: you should open your door and find the work already finished.
