About Light's Land Management mulching & clearing

South of Lynchburg the roads run long and low toward Altavista and the Staunton River, where one good snow can make a half-mile driveway impossible. Light's Land Management mulching & clearing works snow removal across that ground and up into the city, plowing, opening driveways and walkways, and salting the places where shade keeps ice alive for days. A rural push is planned before it is started: where the snow goes, where the truck turns, where the drifting will happen next. There is an unhurried satisfaction in a lane opened the whole way out to the road. By sunrise the way out is clear and the day can proceed as though nothing had happened at all.
