About Lawn Barber

Loudoun Valley Estates is laid out in loops and cul-de-sacs, which means every lawn has a curve in it somewhere and no two edges run the same way. Lawn Barber cuts them anyway — a steady weekly rhythm on the mower, the trimmer along fence lines and mailbox posts, and a squared border where turf meets concrete. Late June in this part of Virginia is humid and unhurried, the light holding until nearly nine, and a yard finished in that gold hour is the best-looking thing on the street. Spring brings the first thick flush of fescue and autumn brings the leaves, and both get cleared off before they mat down into the grass. The work runs through Loudoun Valley Estates, Ashburn, Broadlands and Stone Ridge.
