About TLC LLC

Four in the morning in Laurel, the streetlights holding little cones of falling snow and nothing else moving at all. TLC LLC works those hours, plowing driveways, shoveling walkways and steps, and spreading salt where ice would set up hard by daylight. It is cold, unglamorous and oddly good work, because you can see exactly what you accomplished laid out behind you in clean black asphalt. Central Virginia does not get many of these nights, which is part of why they count for so much when they come. By breakfast the neighborhood can leave the house, and that was the entire point.
