About Lake Ridge Parks and Recreation Association

When snow falls on Lake Ridge overnight it lands on far more than driveways — on the pool lots and parking areas, the paths between neighborhoods, the walks that tie one section of the community to the next. Lake Ridge Parks and Recreation Association handles snow across that shared ground in Prince William County: clearing lots, opening walkways, and treating the surfaces people cross on foot before anyone is up and moving. Common land is easy to overlook until it becomes impassable, and then it is the only thing anybody notices. There is a particular pleasure in walking a cleared path at first light with the woods along the Occoquan still loaded white. The neighborhood keeps working, which is the entire point of the exercise.
