Every fenced back yard between Lake Barcroft and Annandale has a dog in it, a worn track along the fence line, and one job nobody volunteers for. NoVA Poop Scoop does that job — a weekly pass through the yard, corner to corner, everything picked up and carried off, gate latched on the way out. It happens in August humidity and February drizzle alike, because the dogs do not take a season off. The result is plain and worth a great deal: a lawn kids can cross barefoot and a back door you can open without looking down first. Yards across Lake Barcroft, Falls Church, Bailey's Crossroads and Springfield stay on the rotation.
