Acord's Lawn Care Service

About Acord's Lawn Care Service

B Village lies out in a tidy grid of small brick houses, each with a front yard about the size of a good handshake — and those are the yards that punish sloppiness, because nothing is far enough away to hide. Acord's Lawn Care Service takes them one at a time: mowing, trimming around fence posts and foundation corners, edging the walk, hauling off the leaves when the oaks finally let go. Spring comes early this far down the river, dogwood first and then everything at once, and the season's first cut always feels like opening a window. There is a satisfaction in a small lawn done exactly right that a big one can never quite match. Hopewell's older streets and the nearby stretches of Prince George and Chesterfield make up the round.
