About Serious Lawn & Landscape

Massanutten's long ridge sets the eastern edge of everything in Harrisonburg, and it tells you the weather roughly an hour before it gets here. Serious Lawn & Landscape takes the year whole — mowing, edging, trimming, fertilization and weed control, mulch and cleanups from the first green flush to the last leaf, then plow blades, shovels and de-icer once the valley goes white. The changeover is the interesting part: that one week in November when the mower comes off the trailer for the final time and the salt goes on. Snow in this county is rarely tidy, arriving wet off the mountains, freezing hard overnight, and asking somebody to go back out at three in the morning and do it all again. Harrisonburg proper, McGaheysville, Elkton, Mount Crawford — cut clean in summer, opened up in winter.
