About Lux Arbor Tree Services

There is an hour in late October when the sun drops behind the Alleghenies and the ridges east of Harrisonburg hold the last of the light, the whole valley coloring at once. Lux Arbor Tree Services spends those weeks aloft, climbing the big oaks and hickories, working deadwood out, making the pruning cuts that keep a crown balanced through the winter ahead. Removal is the other side of it — the tree that has cracked, or hollowed, or simply grown into the wrong spot, brought down piece by piece. After a windstorm the calls come fast and the work is unglamorous: limbs cleared, brush chipped, tracks smoothed. A yard that looks untouched afterward is the entire point of doing it carefully.
