About Vandyke Construction LLC

Grundy is a mountain town that rebuilt itself on higher ground, with new streets cut into the hillside above the river and stone walls holding the slopes in place. Vandyke Construction LLC turns its attention to lawns in this remade county seat, cutting grass and trimming edges around homes set into the folds of the Buchanan County hills. A builder's eye notices the lines in a property, where the wall meets the yard and where the walk turns, and those are the lines a sharp trim brings out. At dusk, with the river murmuring below and porch lights coming on up the hollow, a freshly mown lawn looks finished and sure. It is the last good detail on ground that took real work to make.
