About Chiles Lawn & Landscaping

Two highways cross in Gordonsville, and Chiles Lawn & Landscaping works the whole year that passes over them. In the green months that means mowing, trimming, edging and carrying off the season's clippings and leaves, keeping yards tidy from the brick storefronts out to the hayfields. When Piedmont winter turns serious — the wet snow, the sleet that comes sideways off the ridge — the trucks go out to plow driveways, shovel walks and salt the icy patch by the steps. There is satisfaction in a lane cleared to the gravel before the coffee goes cold, and in a lawn cut so even it looks brushed. Gordonsville, Orange, Louisa, Zion Crossroads: the same roads, over and over, in every weather they hand out.
