About J.R. Lawn Care

At Tyndall's Point the old earthworks still hump up under the grass, and the York River slides past below them the way it has since long before anyone thought to mow anything. J.R. Lawn Care works this ground in its ordinary present tense: mowing through the long Virginia summer, edging the walks, trimming out the fence lines, keeping a lawn even from the road to the back hedge. Evening is the hour to see it — the light goes gold over the water and a freshly cut yard holds every bit of it. When winter finally throws something at the county, the same outfit plows the drives and clears the walks. Then the grass comes back, the way it always does.
