Weeded! Lawn Service

About Weeded! Lawn Service

Glen Allen sits where the Virginia piedmont starts easing down toward the James, red clay under the loblollies and the Chickahominy running quiet along the county's northern edge. Summer mornings here open humid and green, and a cut lawn holds that early light differently once the edge along the walk is trimmed clean and true — that is the part Weeded! Lawn Service works for. Mowing, trimming, edging and seasonal cleanups follow the rhythm the grass sets, the same rhythm the old fields out by Crump Park have always kept. Then a January ice storm slides in from the northwest, Broad Street goes pale before sunrise, and the work changes shape: driveways and walkways cleared early, so nobody heading out of Glen Allen or Short Pump has to guess where the pavement ends. Ordinary work, done attentively, in a town that looks better for it.
