About A E Johnoson Jr Lawn Care Inc

Mountain Road bends through Glen Allen the way old routes do — unhurried, shaded, with clapboard and boxwood still standing where the fields once opened. A E Johnoson Jr Lawn Care Inc works the yards along that corridor, mowing and trimming and edging until a lot reads clean from the mailbox to the back fence. Henrico clay grows a stubborn, generous fescue, and it rewards anyone willing to keep after it week by week rather than in bursts. There is a plain satisfaction in the last pass of the day: the stripe laid straight, the walk blown bare, the clippings gone with the truck. Glen Allen looks most like itself when its lawns are kept, and that is the whole of the work.
