There is limestone under this whole valley — it shows in the caverns south of town, in the outcrops along Gooney Manor Loop, in the old walls still holding up somebody's front yard. StoneCraft landscaping works the ground above it: spring cleanups, bed lines cut by hand, mulch laid dark and even, mowing that keeps pace with fast April growth. Morning fog sits in the bottomland off the South Fork until nine or so, then lifts and leaves the grass steaming. A shaped bed and a true edge do something for a house that paint cannot. Warren County has no shortage of good ground; it mostly just wants tending.
