Top Notch Tree Service

About Top Notch Tree Service

July here turns heavy by noon — cicadas up in the oaks, heat sitting on the hills above town, everything still until the afternoon builds. Top Notch Tree Service works the early half of those days, taking down trees too far gone to keep and trimming the ones merely crowding a roof, a drive, a garden that has stopped getting sun. Pruning is where the fussiness pays: three cuts on a heavy limb so the bark never tears, a crown thinned so wind moves through it instead of against it. When the storm does arrive and something breaks, that call gets answered and the mess is gone by supper. Cool of the evening, the trailer loaded, a low cut and a swept drive.
