About Cardinal Outdoors

In November the trees around Fredericksburg finally turn and let go, and a cardinal in a bare shrub is the brightest thing in a yard for weeks. Cardinal Outdoors does its best work in that stretch, when leaves need moving and the grass has slowed enough to show every line you cut into it. The visits stay simple: mow what is still growing, edge the walk back to a clean line, trim the corners, and clear the leaves and clippings off the drive. Cool-season mowing is less about growth and more about keeping a place from looking abandoned until spring. A yard raked and cut in late fall wakes up better, and it looks cared for the whole way there.
