Bohr Garden & Lawn Service

About Bohr Garden & Lawn Service

Downtown Fredericksburg keeps its gardens close: brick walls, boxwood, narrow side yards behind houses that have watched the same street for a very long time. Bohr Garden & Lawn Service does the patient part of that work, mowing to fit small ground, hand-trimming where a machine will not go, cutting bed edges so a border stays a border. Summer comes humid off the river and the grass wants cutting more often than anyone expects it to. In autumn the tulip poplars let go all at once and the job becomes leaves, cleared off turf and out of every corner. A tended yard downtown never draws attention to itself; it simply sits there looking right.
