About Alvarado Landscaping LLC

Ice comes to Fredericksburg on a south wind and a cold ground, which is how a wet inch on Route 1 becomes glass by four in the morning. Alvarado Landscaping LLC works out ahead of that, running the commuter hour backwards, plow and scrape and spread and move on, from Massaponax up toward the Route 3 crossings. Snow clearing here is largely patience and repetition: the same lots, the same driveway aprons, the same stubborn shaded corner that refuses to give up its ice. The reward is small and exact, a drive cut down to bare pavement, black and steaming, while the yards on either side are still white. Then the truck rolls to the next one, headlights full of falling snow.
