About R. Merkli, Inc

August evenings here come up thick off the tidal water, cicadas going in the poplars, the creek bottoms below Fort Hunt holding heat long after the sun has dropped behind the houses. R. Merkli, Inc mows straight through that heat — a level cut, trimming along fence lines and the ragged creek-side edges, walks edged and swept, beds mulched and kept honest. When the hardwoods finally turn, the leaves are cleared off before the turf pays for them. A lawn this close to the Potomac grows fast and forgives nothing, and keeping ahead of it week after week is the point of the whole trade.
