McNeill's Mowing and More

About McNeill's Mowing and More

The turn comes on around New London in late fall — one week the mower is still earning its keep, the next there is frost on the truck bed at six and the blades come off. McNeill's Mowing and More lives on both sides of that line: mowing, trimming, edging and seasonal cleanups while the grass is going, then plowing driveways, clearing walkways and salting the icy patches once it stops. Winters here are moody, a dusting one week and four inches the next, so the job is as much watching the sky as running the equipment. Nothing dramatic ever happens, and that is the measure of it — a lawn stays level, a drive stays open, a household never has to give either one a thought. Forest and the roads running southeast toward Rustburg keep the calendar full.
