About Ground Hound Landworks LLC

The ground out past town is red clay and old tobacco land, and it teaches a person things — where water stands after a Buffalo Creek rain, which slope scalds brown in August, which shaded corner glazes first in December. Ground Hound Landworks LLC carries that reading of the dirt into ordinary weeks: mowing and trimming on schedule, beds mulched and cut clean at the edge, cleanups when spring opens and again when the hardwoods finish dropping. Once the year turns cold the same knowledge points the plow — drives opened, walks shoveled, salt down where the sun never reaches. Farmville does not get a long winter, but it gets a sharp one, and being ready for it is half the job. The rest is a lawn that looks cared for on a plain Wednesday in July.
