Andy's Lawn & Landscape

About Andy's Lawn & Landscape

Broad Street runs a low ridge, and weather in Falls Church usually announces itself there first — a southwest sky going the color of pewter, then the first flakes crossing the streetlights. Andy's Lawn & Landscape works both ends of that: plowing and shoveling drives clear while the city is still asleep, then coming back in April to open the same yards up for the year. Late winter here is a strange, generous season, a foot of snow one week and crocuses breaking the clay the next. The crew mows, edges, mulches and hauls off whatever winter tore loose, and by May the lines run straight down the front yards from sidewalk to porch step. It is unglamorous work with a very visible result.
