About FA Outdoor Spaces

Out toward the Difficult Run side of Fairfax, where the ground rolls and the streams cut low, the first flake of a storm tends to show up at dusk and take the whole evening with it. FA Outdoor Spaces watches that hour closely, because a driveway on a grade is a different problem after two inches than after eight. Plows open the surface, hand-clearing takes the steps and the path to the door, and de-icer goes out before the melt has any chance to lock up overnight. Come morning the pavement is a plain dark rectangle in a white yard, which is exactly the point. Winter can keep the woods; the driveway belongs to whoever needs to leave at seven.
