Blades of Green

About Blades of Green

Spring in Fairfax comes in a rush of dogwood and azalea, and for a few weeks every neighborhood looks freshly painted. Blades of Green tends Fairfax lawns during that season of high expectations, when the turf greens fast and every yard wants to keep pace with the blossoms. A close, even mow, tidy trimming and squared-off edges give a Fairfax lawn the polish that suits its brick colonials and tree-shaded cul-de-sacs. Each May, when George Mason University's commencement brings families into town, a well-cut front yard is part of how Fairfax says hello to early summer. The name says it plainly: every blade green and even.
