Browder-Hite

About Browder-Hite

Late summer on the Shore smells like turned earth and diesel, produce trucks running the Route 13 spine while the day cools toward water on both sides. Browder-Hite keeps the lawns and beds around Exmore in order through that whole stretch, cutting on schedule, trimming close to porch posts and pump houses, edging drives, mulching, and clearing the leaf drop once the fields go brown. Come January the same trucks carry plows and shovels for whatever snow pushes down the peninsula, with salt for the walks that stay shaded and slick. A yard here has wind, sand and salt working against it all year long. Keeping one crisp is a quiet argument with the weather, and a satisfying one to win.
