Farm & Lawn Services

About Farm & Lawn Services

Out past the city limits the fields of Greensville County open wide, cotton going white in the fall and peanut dust hanging gold in the light behind a combine. Farm & Lawn Services works that same country, mowing and trimming yards from town lots to long farmhouse approaches and clearing leaves once the pines and hardwoods start shedding. When a winter storm slides down across southern Virginia the work shifts to plows and shovels, taking care of driveways, walks and the turnaround by the barn. There is a plain pleasure in a straight cut line and a clean stretch of gravel, and it does not get old. Emporia sits in the middle of all that open ground, and every property in it gets the same attention.
