Up on the high shoulders west of Dublin — Cloyd's Mountain country — the wind gets to a yard before anyone else does. Mountain Top Mowing works that elevation through the whole calendar: mowing, trimming and edging across the long green months, then plowing, shoveling and salting once the first real snow drops onto the ridge and slides down into Pulaski County. Snow up here lingers days after the valley has let go of it, so a cleared lane matters more than it might elsewhere. The whole appeal of the job is the before-and-after — a drive buried at five in the morning, open and salted by the time the coffee is poured. Dublin, Pulaski, Draper and the roads between them get the same treatment.
