Harvey's Tree Service

About Harvey's Tree Service

Deltaville lies out where the Rappahannock hands itself over to the bay, and the loblolly pines here have grown up bent by salt wind off Broad Creek and Fishing Bay. Harvey's Tree Service works that peninsula, from the boatyard lanes to the houses set back along the creeks — removals when a pine has been undercut or hollowed, trimming to take the sail out of a crown before a blow, pruning the hardwoods that shelter a yard from the water. After a nor'easter, or the tail of a storm coming up the bay, the days are all cleanup: pines down across drives, limbs on the roof, brush cleared away and carried off. There is a clean feeling to a yard put right while the wind is still up and the creek is still showing whitecaps.
