About Wilson Lawn & Garden

A February thaw along the old railroad grade above the Dan turns everything to mud and birdsong for a few days, and then Danville remembers it is still winter. Wilson Lawn & Garden reads that back-and-forth for a living: plowing driveways and clearing walks and steps when the Piedmont goes white, then turning to mowing, trimming, edging and bed cleanups the moment the ground firms up. There is a particular satisfaction in the first cut of the year, the mower leaving a line where a month earlier there was snow. Yards along this river go from gray to full green in a hurry once they decide to. Keeping honest pace with that, week to week, is the craft of it.
