G & D Lawn Care

About G & D Lawn Care

October along Route 29 north of town turns the hills toward Blairs a deep rust, and the yards underneath fill with leaves faster than anybody can rake them. G & D Lawn Care is working then — mowing while the grass still grows, edging the drives, clearing what the wind piles in the corners. When the season tips and the first freeze grips the Piedmont, the work becomes snow removal: drives opened, walks scraped, ice broken up before it can set. Danville does not get buried often, but when it does the roads out this way are the last to soften. Warm months or cold, the measure is the same — a property somebody can walk across and pull into without a thought.
