Danville Garbage Collection

About Danville Garbage Collection

There is an hour before Danville stirs — streetlights still burning, the alleys behind the older blocks blue with cold — when winter work actually gets done. Danville Garbage Collection is out in it, clearing snow and ice from drives, service lanes and the walks people will use in a couple of hours without ever knowing they were shoveled. The Piedmont specializes in freezing rain more than snowfall, so scraping and treating matter as much as pushing. Tight lanes and narrow entries get cleared by hand where a blade cannot reach. The reward is simple and invisible: the town gets up, goes out, and finds the pavement waiting bare.
