About Robert's Tree Service LLC

Late September around Stevensburg smells like cut corn, and the sun drops behind the ridge while the combines are still running their lights. Robert's Tree Service LLC works those farms and the houses strung along Route 3 — dropping trees that have died standing, trimming limbs off equipment lanes and barn roofs, pruning shade trees so they hold together through the winter. Storm work belongs to the calendar too: a limb out of a hedgerow oak, a trunk split at the base, brush cleared and hauled the same day. There is something good about pulling out at dusk with the field lane wide open behind you.
