Fant's Tree Service

About Fant's Tree Service

In March the Hazel River comes up brown and fast, and the sycamores along its banks show their white arms over the current. Fant's Tree Service knows that bottomland and the farms above it in the Rixeyville hills, where high water and spring wind leave splintered limbs in the pasture and across the lane. They remove the trees that have gone past saving, trim the ones crowding a barn roof or a service drop, and prune with an eye on the next twenty springs rather than only this one. When a storm has been through, the wreckage gets cleared down to the last brush pile. A field gate that swings open again and a lane a truck can pass — that is the whole point of the day.
