About Bryce Tree Service

Fog settles in the low pastures east of town and hangs there until the sun finds it, and above it Mount Pony holds its dark line of oak. Bryce Tree Service works that country and the streets beneath it — taking down the hollow tree before it chooses its own direction, trimming crowns back off rooflines and driveways, pruning young shade trees toward the shape they will keep for decades. After a blow, the calls are for broken limbs and hangers across the lanes, and the measure of the day is what a yard looks like once the saws go quiet: ground raked, wood stacked, gate closed behind them. It is plain work, and it is deeply satisfying to leave a place better lit and safer than it was at daybreak.
